In tHe wake of Hurricane Helene, the Home Fashion Products Association (HFPA) is urging its members to participate in disaster relief efforts.

The trade group is pleading with home textiles providers to think about providing textile inventory or samples to underprivileged households, especially in North Carolina, which is among the worst-affected areas.

The HFPA board said in a statement, “This state holds deep significance for our industry and is also home to our sister industry, furniture.” We are urging affiliated businesses to show their support by making donations of any size. We’re hoping that many of you have extra new linens lying around since New York Market Week just ended.

The HFPA is sending its assistance to the American Red Cross’s Western North Carolina Chapter, located at 100 Edgewood Road Asheville, NC 28804, with the organization overseeing relief efforts. The number to call is 828-258-3888.
