The Dallas design team of Heather and Tyson Fujikawa has partnered with rug manufacturer Jaipur Living to create a new handmade collection made entirely of PET. The Fujikawas and their design company, House Sprucing, have partnered with Jaipur Living to launch two handcrafted collections totaling six new carpets.

According to Tyson Fujikawa, the rugs combine sophisticated, vintage-inspired design elements with modern aesthetics, all with rich, gloomy hues and a global sensibility.

“Through this collaboration, we hope to spread the stories of the artisans around the world, who we celebrate and who are passionate about global unity,” he said.

The House Sprucing x Jaipur Living collection is inspired by the timeless elegance of European design and the expression of the spirit of love and connection. The collection is named after the city of Verona, which is located in the center of Europe. The Fujikawas claimed to have fallen in love with European design while residing in Verona.

According to Fujikawa, the new collections, aptly titled Amata and Tesorino (which translate as “beloved” and “sweetheart” in Italian), convey the distinct romance and beauty associated with famous European cities like Paris.

According to Heather Fujikawa, “our goal for this collection was to create spaces that foster connection and celebrate love, artistry, and timeless design.” “Everyone is encouraged to investigate the allure and intimacy that a rug may provide for their interior with this collection.

According to CEO of Jaipur Living Asha Chaudhary, these new rugs were created in partnership with the craftspeople at Jaipur Living and are not only strong and eco-friendly, but also have striking, adaptable patterns that go well with a variety of decor types.

One noteworthy aspect of this partnership, Chaudhary continued, is how the House Sprucing team adopted a novel digital print method.

We were able to imitate the elaborate appearance and detail of real vintage pieces while adhering to the centuries-old Turkish rug weaving traditions that served as the collection’s inspiration by layering a digital print onto a handwoven substrate and using photos of real vintage rugs, the spokesperson added. We are able to provide the allure of rugs with a vintage feel at a cost that is reasonable thanks to this technique.

The new rugs from Jaipur Living will make their premiere in the C&D building’s spaces 4B, 4N, and 4P during the forthcoming High Point Market.
