Matratzen-Industrie e.V., a trade association, will highlight the circular economy at Heimtextil 2025.

Main, Frankfurt, October 29, 2024. With a focus on extended producer responsibility, R-strategies, reverse logistics, and mattress recycling, the trade organization Matratzen-Industrie e.V. will be showcasing forward-looking technologies at Heimtextil in Hall 11.0. In addition to speaking with industry professionals directly, visitors will learn about the most recent developments in the field. Heimtextil provides the trade association with a worldwide platform to showcase creative concepts and environmentally friendly solutions to a large audience.

Experts and interested parties are welcome to visit the trade organization Matratzen-Industrie e.V.’s booth in Hall 11.0 at Heimtextil to learn more about the most recent advancements in the mattress sector. The circular economy—a topic crucial to the industry’s future—will be the main topic of discussion. In close collaboration with the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), the trade group is advocating for legislative regulation of the mattress industry.Heimtextil is the perfect place to further the conversation in our sector about sustainability and the circular economy.

Matratzen-Industrie e.V., a trade association, supports an extended producer responsibility system that is governed by law. This includes creative recycling solutions in addition to R-strategies and reverse logistics. Martin Auerbach, Managing Director of the trade organization, adds, “We are thrilled to be in Frankfurt and to have a strong platform with Heimtextil, which impresses with its enormous product diversity and internationality.” On the opening day of the trade show, January 14, 2025, at 12:00 noon, he will present on the current status of the circular economy conversation and solutions in the mattress business as part of the “Econogy Talks” on the Retail Stage in Hall 12.1.

Trade association representatives will be on hand to respond to inquiries regarding developments and trends in this product category. Leading industrial producers of mattresses and bed systems, along with their suppliers, are brought together by the trade group Matratzen-Industrie e.V. In addition to representing more than 70% of the German mattress market through its members, the trade group has connections with key players in other European nations.

Hall 11.0 of Smart Bedding: well-known brands in one location

Leading producers of mattresses, sleep systems, and bedding are already present at the next Heimtextil at Smart Bedding Hall 11.0. Leading German companies including Sanders-Kauffmann, OBB Oberbadische Bettfedernfabrik, Hefel-Textil, Heinrich Häussling, F.a.n. Frankenstolz, Centa-Star, Brinkhaus, and Badenia Bettcomfort will be present. Many foreign businesses are also represented, including Norvigroup Denmark, Standard Fiber, Ted Bea Ead, Ventius, Wendre AS, Healthcare, John Cotton Europe, Lenzing, and Billerbeck Switzerland.

Additionally, there are indications that the sourcing sector is seeing an increase in inquiries from Asia. I am thrilled that a significant number of renowned worldwide exhibitors from the mattress industry will enhance Heimtextil 2025.
