Beijing, November 4, 2024. China’s busiest time of year for sourcing textiles is March. This time frame will be extended by the upcoming Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, which will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from March 11–13, 2025. The 2024 show, which attracted over 23,700 buyers from 56 countries and regions and featured 339 exhibitors from seven nations and areas, will build on the positive momentum created by the forthcoming fair. Building on the premium, useful, and sustainable home textiles that have become the most popular trends in the market today, eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge technology will once again be at the forefront at the expo next year.
The 2025 Spring Edition is anticipated by Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., who says, “The fair is well-known for its extensive range of products, and has the potential to meet some buyers’ yearly sourcing requirements.” Additionally, it successfully responds to the changing tastes of Chinese customers, as demonstrated at the 2024 event. The market is exhibiting positive indicators, and a strong lineup of exhibitors is planned, so this trend is likely to pick up even more steam at the spring fair the following year.
The worldwide home textile industry is expected to reach USD 189 billion by 2029, despite a recent recession across industries. In 2023, it was valued at USD 133 billion [1]. Among the major trends anticipated to propel market expansion are the emergence of environmentally friendly house textiles, technical advancements, and an increasing demand for multipurpose and smart home textiles, all of which will be on display at the next event.

Fulfilling customer demand with a wide range of products during the busiest sourcing season in China

With the ongoing international innovation in the textile sector, consumers are being offered more and more sophisticated and culturally diverse options for their homes. In order to further incorporate these innovations into their operations, industry participants are constantly looking for ways to collaborate. Jorge Barros, the founder and CEO of Graphene X, made the following statement when sourcing at the previous event: “We are looking for possible partners who have been advancing the fabric sector, especially with high-performance and sustainable textile goods. We are new to this exhibition, but we have already observed the caliber and knowledge of the exhibitors, and we are struck by their dedication to lessening the environmental effect of high-performance textiles.
The forthcoming Spring Edition will feature a broad variety of home textile products, including bedding and towels, rugs, kitchen and table linens, home textile technologies, textile design, and many more, in addition to these trends. As Changshu Xinghan Hometextiles Co. Ltd. exhibitor Ms. Helen Qian, Business Manager, said at the 2024 show: “This fair is a large event with a diverse array of home textile fabrics,” these wide offerings emphasize the potential at the fair. We may interact and work together with other professionals in the sector in person by going to this fair. To improve business interactions, we also extend an invitation to our current clients. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles brings the industry together with Intertextile Apparel and Yarn Expo.

The China Home Textile Association (CHTA), the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. are the organizers of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition 2025.
