Bharat Tex 2025 Roadshow successfully held in Dubai to Promote

Dubai, November 14, 2024: On November 12, 2024, a roadshow was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which effectively marketed the global textile festival Bharat Tex 2025. The event’s primary goal was to raise awareness of the numerous prospects and reaffirm India’s standing as a major global textile powerhouse with enormous potential in innovation, technology, and sustainable practices. The roadshow emphasized the benefits of expanding India-UAE commerce under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which fortifies the standing and connections of the Indian textile industry in the GCC.

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is one of the Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) organizing Bharat Tex 2025, with assistance from the Indian government’s Ministry of Textiles. The massive event is scheduled to happen at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida from February 12 to 15, 2025, and at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from February 14 to 17.

Industry professionals, producers, buyers, sellers, designers, and fans from all over the world come together on one platform for Bharat Tex 2025. Apparel, home furnishings and floor coverings, fibers, yarns, wool, threads, fabrics, carpets, silk, textile-based handicrafts, handloom, synthetic, rayon, and cotton textiles, jute, woolen garments, technical textiles, and machinery will all be on display at this biggest and most important extravaganza for the textile industry.

“Bharat Tex is not just an event but a testament to India’s commitment to becoming a global textile powerhouse,” stated Mr. Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, who welcomed UAE industry associates. This exhibition embodies India’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—by fostering innovation, teamwork, and the ethos of “Made in India,” producing goods not only for India but for the entire globe.

Over 5000 exhibitors, 6000 international buyers, and over 1,20,000 trade visitors are anticipated to attend the upcoming edition of the show, which will occupy 2,00,000 square meters. With exhibitors and purchasers anticipated from more than 120 countries, it is the largest textile show on a global scale.

The expo is a unique platform to bring together leading players from the Indian and global textiles sector, in addition to highlighting the many current and emerging opportunities, strong infrastructure, alluring incentives, and other advantages available in India for international investors and buyers, Mr. Akhilesh Kumar, DDG, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, highlighted in his keynote address. Additionally, it offers a special opportunity for international buyers and investors to investigate India’s advantages as a worldwide consumer and manufacturing market.

Smt. Swayamprava Pani, IES, Addl. Development Commissioner of Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, also gave a special address, highlighting Bharat Tex as a unique platform that unites top players from the Indian and international textiles industry. She also highlighted the many opportunities, both current and future, strong infrastructure, alluring incentives, and other advantages that India offers to international buyers and investors.

“The textiles and apparel industry in India is thriving across its entire value chain, from fiber to apparel,” declared Mr. Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, during a thorough presentation on the event. The industry is extensively segmented and produces a wide variety of goods, such as wool, silk, handicrafts, traditional handlooms, and organized textile industry segments. Mass production, spinning, weaving, processing, and clothing manufacturing are the hallmarks of the organized textile sector, which is a capital-intensive business. For international buyers and investors, Bharat Tex offers a special opportunity to investigate India’s advantages as a global consumer and manufacturing market.

The significance of procuring textiles at Bharat Tex and the chance to observe a wide variety of MSME’s from important manufacturing clusters like Ichalkaranji, Surat, Tiruppur, Noida, and other hubs were emphasized by Mr. Shaleen Toshniwal, Vice Chairman, MATEXIL.

150 people from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey, Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Kenya, the United States, South Africa, and India attended the roadshow, which was sponsored by MATEXIL, WWEPC, and HEPC. The event took place at the Dubai World Trade Center on the first day of the second edition of Brands of India, a massive exhibition of Indian apparel manufacturers hosted by CMAI.
