Germany’s Hürth – A variety of pressing concerns in the development of more sustainable goods are covered in the preliminary program for the 2025 Cellulose Fibres Conference.
The conference will take place in the Maternushaus in Cologne, Germany, from March 12–13, and will concentrate on cellulose fibers in textiles, hygiene products, and packaging. There were 214 attendees from 23 countries at the 2024 event.
Topics that will be covered include:
The topic of “Biosynthetics – Replacing Traditional Synthetic Fibres” will examine the most recent developments, difficulties, and prospects in the industry.
“Fibre-to-Fibre Recycling: A Path to a Sustainable Textile Industry” will examine the most recent developments in technology as well as the opportunities and challenges that must be overcome in order to transition the sector to a sustainable, circular future.
“Fibre Microplastic Formation versus Marine Biodegrability” will shed light on creative alternatives that can lessen the negative effects of synthetic fibers on marine environments.
Sessions will also cover supply chain innovation, strategies for shifting market conditions, and new technologies and uses for cellulosic fibers as well as technology unique to pulps, fiber, and yarns.
