UNIQLO Expands Footprint in Mumbai with New Store at Inorbit Mall, Malad

Mumbai, May 16, 2025 – UNIQLO, the globally renowned Japanese fashion retailer, has unveiled its newest store in Mumbai at Inorbit Mall, Malad – marking its fourth location in the city and 16th nationwide. Strategically located in one of Mumbai’s rapidly growing suburbs, the new store introduces a wide selection of UNIQLO’s signature LifeWear – everyday, high-quality clothing designed for comfort, functionality, and simplicity.

Spanning a modern retail space of approximately 8,969 square feet, the store showcases the Spring/Summer 2025 LifeWear collection. This includes wardrobe essentials for men, women, children, and babies – from linen shirts and AIRism T-shirts to the immensely popular Round Mini Shoulder Bags and the newly launched Roger Federer collection.

To mark the grand opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in the presence of senior UNIQLO and Inorbit Mall executives. Early visitors were greeted with exclusive gifts – the first 100 customers received a complimentary Round Mini Shoulder Bag and vouchers for coffee and macarons by Flury’s. A Wish Tree activation also added an element of fun engagement, where participants could win UNIQLO products and special offers.

Customers shopping during the launch weekend and spending ₹6,000 or more were gifted a limited-edition tote bag designed by Mumbai-based illustrator Aashti Miller.

Kenji Inoue, CFO and COO of UNIQLO India, emphasized the importance of Mumbai in their India expansion strategy and expressed gratitude for the strong customer response. Rajneesh Mahajan, CEO of Inorbit Malls, celebrated the partnership and the mall’s transformation into a premium destination for global brands.
