Company stresses the importance of genuine filters for safe drinking water and purifier performance

Eureka Forbes has highlighted concerns around the growing presence of counterfeit water purifier filters in the market, stating that non-genuine products may compromise water purification performance and consumer safety.

According to the company, increasing consumer awareness around health and hygiene has driven higher demand for water purifiers, while also contributing to the circulation of imitation filters designed to resemble original products. Eureka Forbes stated that counterfeit filters may not meet the quality standards, filtration technology requirements or safety certifications associated with genuine Aquaguard filters.

The company noted that fake filters may fail to effectively remove contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, sediments and other impurities from drinking water.

Dr. Anil Kumar said:

“As consumers become increasingly conscious about the quality of the water they consume, it is important for them to recognize the risks associated with counterfeit filters. Genuine filters undergo rigorous testing and are specifically engineered to deliver the purification standards expected from Eureka Forbes products. While fake filters may appear similar externally, they often fail to provide effective purification and can negatively impact both water quality and the long-term performance of the purifier. We strongly encourage customers to purchase filters only through authorized Eureka Forbes channels to ensure safety, reliability, and peace of mind.”

Eureka Forbes also stated that genuine Aquaguard filters are designed to support purifier compatibility and maintain purification efficiency, while counterfeit filters may increase the risk of system malfunctions and higher maintenance requirements over time.

The company said growing awareness around water quality and household hygiene is increasing the importance of certified filtration products for ensuring safe drinking water and maintaining long-term appliance performance.
