Global awards programme invites textile innovators to showcase scalable technologies, materials and sustainability solutions
World Textile Information Network (WTiN) has opened applications for the third annual Innovate Textile Awards, inviting entries from innovators across the global textile and apparel industry.
The awards programme is designed to evaluate developments in materials, manufacturing, supply chain operations and sustainability, with organisers reporting continued growth in the number and technical sophistication of submissions received in recent years.
According to WTiN, the programme has evolved beyond a traditional awards format to become a platform for industry validation, recognising commercially viable innovations from material scientists, technology developers and supply chain operators.
Commenting on the launch, Madelaine Thomas, Managing Director, World Textile Information Network (WTiN), said:
“The calibre of innovations arriving on our desk over the past three years indicates an industry moving past pilot projects and into robust, scalable engineering. The momentum is undeniable. These awards provide the rigorous third-party assessment that tier-one buyers look for when de-risking their supply chain partnerships. We are establishing an industry benchmark.”
Assessment Categories for 2026
The 2026 awards programme will evaluate applications across four key categories:
- Next-Gen Materials: Innovations involving bio-based filaments, regenerative agriculture outputs and functional textiles developed without hazardous synthetics or legacy chemical additives.
- Industry 4.0 & Automation: Technologies including operational software, robotics, automated material handling systems and AI-driven predictive solutions designed to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Circular Systems & Infrastructure: Mechanical and chemical recycling technologies, closed-loop supply chain models and garment-to-garment recycling solutions.
- Functional Excellence: Products and technologies focused on durability, performance enhancement and supply chain transparency.
