Indo Waste & Recycling 2026 Supports Indonesia’s Recycling Transition Through Global Collaboration

Indo Waste & Recycling 2026 Expo & Forum is strengthening its role as a key platform for advancing Indonesia’s transition toward a circular economy by connecting global innovators, industry leaders and policymakers focused on sustainable waste management and environmental solutions.

As industries worldwide accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices, the exhibition continues to serve as a catalyst for collaboration, technology exchange and business development across the waste management and recycling sectors.

Indonesia’s plastic and waste management industries are entering a new phase of transformation amid changing global petrochemical supply chains. Despite disruptions in naphtha supply affecting international markets, Indonesia’s domestic demand and industrial performance remain resilient. According to the Industrial Confidence Index (IKI) for March 2026, the packaging subsector continues to operate in an expansionary phase, highlighting healthy production levels and sustained market activity.

To strengthen long-term industry resilience, the Indonesian government is encouraging greater adoption of high-quality recycled plastics and alternative feedstocks. These initiatives are expected to create significant opportunities for recycling technologies, sustainable materials and integrated waste management solutions throughout the country.

Building on this momentum, Indo Waste & Recycling 2026 is expanding its international outreach through strategic engagements with global industry stakeholders. As part of this effort, the event will participate in a major plastics and rubber industry exhibition in Shanghai from April 21–24, 2026, where organizers will engage with potential exhibitors, technology providers and business partners.

The upcoming edition of Indo Waste & Recycling will take place from August 11–13, 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, alongside Indo Water, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and IISMEX (Indonesia International Smart City Expo & Forum), creating a comprehensive industry platform under one roof.

The exhibition continues to demonstrate strong growth. The 2025 edition featured 620 exhibitors from 26 countries, including 12 international pavilions, across 15,888 square metres of exhibition space. For 2026, organizers are targeting approximately 700 exhibitors from 30 countries and around 17,000 trade visitors.

With increasing international participation and growing demand for sustainable waste management solutions, Indo Waste & Recycling 2026 is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting Indonesia’s environmental goals while fostering innovation, investment and cross-border collaboration across the recycling and circular economy sectors.
