New wood veneer finish supports multiple kitchen styles while expanding Rotpunkt’s climate-focused furniture portfolio

Rotpunkt has introduced Forest Brown Oak, a new wood veneer door range developed to create multiple kitchen styles using a single finish. The launch forms part of the German manufacturer’s ongoing focus on climate-friendly fitted furniture and responds to evolving kitchen design trends centred on natural wood aesthetics.

The new finish is available across three complementary furniture systems and incorporates features including recessed panels, fluted surfaces, rounded edges and integrated lighting solutions.

Wood-inspired finish developed for contemporary kitchen interiors

According to Rotpunkt, Forest Brown Oak is designed to replicate the appearance of native oak species and features a pronounced open woodgrain with a finely textured surface. The company states that the finish changes in appearance throughout the day, ranging “from light tan to medium brown”, highlighting its natural variation and depth.

The finish has been introduced across three furniture systems—Memory FL Zero, Smala 25 FL and Memory RI—allowing different kitchen layouts while maintaining a consistent material palette.

Three furniture systems offer distinct design options

Memory FL Zero (Rounded) adopts a slab-style design with softened edges and combines a sink station with a full-height appliance bank finished in Forest Brown Oak. The system can also be specified with colour-matched handles, including Rotpunkt’s Tokyo handle, to create an integrated appearance.

Smala 25 FL presents a contemporary interpretation of Shaker-style cabinetry, featuring a slim 25mm frame surrounding each door and drawer front. Configured as a peninsula island with an extended seating area, it is designed to create what Rotpunkt describes as a “micro-Shaker kitchen space, which is defined by difference” and is available with or without handles.

Memory RI wall units introduce vertically fluted surfaces that interact with natural light. Rotpunkt notes that when light falls across the cabinetry, each groove creates “pockets of light and shadow to bring architectural depth”, adding texture to the overall kitchen design.

Integrated lighting and rounded design elements

The Forest Brown Oak collection also includes an Illuminated Wall Solution featuring integrated lighting, a full splashback and adjustable metal shelving. Selected accessories incorporate built-in LED lighting systems, which Rotpunkt describes as smart home ready for automated kitchen illumination.

Rounded End Panels extend the design approach by introducing softened cabinet and worktop edges. These elements are intended to improve the visual flow of the kitchen layout around sink areas and wall units.

Sustainability remains part of Rotpunkt strategy

Rotpunkt positions the Forest Brown Oak collection within its wider sustainability initiative, “ONE MISSION: ZERO EMISSION.” The company states that it continues efforts to avoid, reduce and compensate its carbon footprint, including emissions generated through production, transportation and employee mobility, with the aim of producing climate-friendly home interiors.
