India’s Home Industry to Gather at 19th HGH India in Mumbai with Focus on Contemporary Living

The 19th edition of HGH India, one of the country’s leading trade shows for home textiles, home décor, furniture, houseware and gifts, will be held from June 30 to July 3, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai. The four-day exhibition will spotlight the future of India’s home and lifestyle sector under the central themes of Contemporary, Futuristic and Sustainable.

Platform for India’s Expanding Home Market

Over the past 18 editions, HGH India has established itself as a key business platform connecting manufacturers, brands, retailers, architects, interior designers, distributors, importers and institutional buyers. Beyond product sourcing, the exhibition has evolved into a knowledge-sharing forum that tracks changing consumer preferences, design trends and market opportunities.

The previous edition attracted over 700 brands and manufacturers from 32 countries and welcomed more than 43,000 trade visitors from 710 Indian cities and towns. Organisers expect participation to increase further in 2026 as India’s home products market continues to expand at an average annual growth rate of 15%.

Organised by Texzone, HGH India leverages over four decades of expertise in market development, trend forecasting, retail engagement and product intelligence across the textile, fashion and home sectors.

Industry Perspective

Commenting on the upcoming edition, Arun Roongta, Managing Director, Texzone Information Services, said the Indian home market has undergone significant transformation over the years, with demand increasingly driven by consumers beyond metropolitan cities.

He noted that homeowners across hundreds of cities and towns are seeking products that combine design, functionality and quality, and said HGH India 2026 has been designed to reflect these changing market dynamics through its products, knowledge sessions and business networking opportunities.

The Trends Pavilion will showcase PreSense: Home Fashion Trends 2026-27, featuring four trend themes:

The pavilion will present insights into emerging colours, materials, textures, designs and lifestyle preferences expected to influence the Indian home market.

Smart Kitchen Pavilion

The Smart Kitchen section will feature innovations including:

The pavilion aims to provide retailers and distributors with access to emerging kitchen solutions suited to modern households.

Technical Textiles

Responding to growing consumer demand for functional home products, the Technical Textiles section will display products such as:

  • Skin-friendly bed sheets
  • Washable rugs

The category reflects increasing interest in performance-based home textiles, with India’s technical textiles market projected to reach USD 50 billion by 2028.

Indian Heritage Pavilion

Supported by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles and other government agencies, the Indian Heritage Pavilion will feature artisans, handloom weavers and handicraft producers.

Live demonstrations will allow visitors to experience traditional craftsmanship while creating market opportunities for artisan communities.

Kids’ Home

Reflecting growing consumer demand, the Kids’ Home section will focus on baby and children’s home products, a category growing at approximately 20% annually across online and offline retail channels.
