Global Sourcing Expo Sydney 2026 records 20% visitor growth, strengthens international sourcing partnerships

Global Sourcing Expo Sydney 2026 concluded with record attendance, welcoming more than 6,500 visitors to the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney from 16–18 June 2026. The event recorded a 20% increase in attendance compared to the 2025 edition, reinforcing its position as one of Australia’s leading international sourcing platforms for the fashion, textile and manufacturing industries.

Held alongside the China Clothing Textiles Accessories Expo, the three-day exhibition brought together exhibitors from more than 20 countries, offering buyers direct access to global manufacturers, suppliers and sourcing partners. The event enabled wholesalers, retailers, department stores, manufacturers and fashion businesses to explore new products, discover innovations and establish long-term business relationships.

Global Sourcing Expo Australia hosts annual editions in both Sydney and Melbourne, connecting international manufacturers and service providers with Australian and international buyers. The exhibition continues to provide businesses with opportunities to diversify sourcing strategies while navigating an increasingly complex global trade environment.

Education program attracts strong industry participation

Beyond the exhibition floor, the event featured an extensive education program focused on sourcing, sustainability, artificial intelligence, innovation and supply chain transformation.

The Global Sourcing Seminars, hosted by fashion journalist and commentator Patty Huntington, attracted large audiences across all three days. Industry experts and business leaders shared practical insights into evolving sourcing practices, sustainability initiatives and the future of the fashion industry.

A new addition in 2026 was the Learning Lab, an interactive knowledge hub offering practical sessions tailored for sourcing professionals. The sessions received an enthusiastic response, with several attracting standing-room-only audiences. Presentations by industry experts, including Joel Perna of Risewise, generated significant engagement throughout the exhibition.

The event also introduced the Global Sourcing Summit Masterclass, led by fashion industry expert Jude Kingston. The masterclass provided practical guidance for emerging and established fashion brands on launching, growing and scaling successful businesses.

Participants praised the session for delivering actionable business strategies and valuable industry insights, highlighting its practical approach to helping entrepreneurs avoid costly mistakes while building stronger brands.

Face-to-face networking remains a key advantage

Visitors consistently highlighted the value of meeting manufacturers and suppliers in person, noting that direct engagement helped streamline sourcing decisions and build stronger business relationships.

Many attendees appreciated the opportunity to examine product quality firsthand, discuss manufacturing capabilities directly with suppliers and establish new partnerships in a single location.

The combination of a diverse exhibitor base, educational content and networking opportunities reinforced the event’s role as a key sourcing destination for Australia’s textile, apparel and fashion industries.

Melbourne edition scheduled for November 2026

Following the successful Sydney event, organisers are preparing for Global Sourcing Expo Melbourne 2026, scheduled to take place from 17–19 November 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Melbourne edition will feature hundreds of international suppliers alongside an expanded education program, including the return of the Global Sourcing Seminars, Learning Lab, and additional networking opportunities designed to connect Australian businesses with global manufacturing partners.

With increasing demand for diversified sourcing, supply chain resilience and sustainable manufacturing, Global Sourcing Expo continues to strengthen its role as a platform for international trade, innovation and business collaboration within the textile and apparel sectors.
