Textile manufacturer Ruby Mills Ltd has resumed weaving operations at its Dhamni plant following the resolution of a labour dispute that had disrupted production since 29 June 2026.

The strike affected only the Dhamni Weaving Division located in Khalapur taluka, Raigad district, Maharashtra, while the company’s Spinning and Processing divisions continued operations without interruption throughout the period.

According to the company, the dispute was resolved after workers withdrew the strike and submitted an undertaking following the intervention of the local Labour Commissioner’s office and police authorities.

Ruby Mills estimated that the disruption resulted in standing charge losses of approximately ₹35 lakh. However, with weaving operations now restored, the company expects to recover production volumes and gradually restore its fabric manufacturing capacity in the coming quarters.

The strike was linked to an ongoing wage settlement process, with the draft agreement between the company and workers yet to be finalised.

In a regulatory filing under SEBI Listing Regulations, Ruby Mills stated that it is approaching the Regional Industrial Labour Court, Thane, for further action regarding what it described as an illegal strike, noting that the Industrial Court had previously restrained workers from obstructing plant operations.

The company added that it expects normal and peaceful operations to continue following the resolution.

Ruby Mills manufactures a broad range of fabrics using fibres including cotton, polyester, viscose, modal, lyocell, linen, Bemberg, ramie, rayon, and Lycra, and continues to strengthen its vertically integrated textile manufacturing operations.
