Le Merite Exports Forms Associate Company to Develop Technical Textile Park

New venture will establish an integrated technical textile park with shared infrastructure, R&D facilities and testing centres.

Le Merite Exports Limited (LMEL) has incorporated Le Merite Torna Technical Textile Park Private Limited as an associate company to develop an integrated technical textile park, marking the company’s strategic expansion into textile infrastructure and the technical textiles sector.

The newly incorporated entity will be responsible for planning, developing and operating an integrated technical textile park equipped with core infrastructure, including utilities, logistics facilities, research and development (R&D) centres, testing laboratories and worker amenities.

According to the company, the associate company has not yet commenced commercial operations. Its activities will include site preparation, construction, operation and maintenance of common infrastructure and shared facilities within the proposed textile park.

Strategic Expansion into Technical Textiles

The initiative represents Le Merite Exports’ entry into the technical textiles infrastructure segment, expanding its business beyond textile manufacturing and exports while strengthening its position in the higher-value technical textiles ecosystem.

The company stated that Le Merite Torna Technical Textile Park Private Limited was incorporated on 8 July 2026, following the issuance of a Certificate of Incorporation by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The new company has an authorised and paid-up share capital of ₹1 lakh, comprising 10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each. Le Merite Exports holds a 35% equity stake through the subscription of 3,500 equity shares, with the investment made in cash.

Strong Export Presence

Le Merite Exports Limited is a vertically integrated textile manufacturer engaged in the production of cotton yarn and greige fabrics under the Le Merite brand.

The company exports its products to nearly 37 countries, including Bangladesh, China, Turkey, Portugal, Egypt, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, Peru, the UAE and the United States, supported by long-standing customer relationships, exclusive partnerships and overseas agents.

LMEL currently generates annual export revenue of over ₹400 crore (approximately US$41.94 million) and has set an ambitious target of achieving ₹1,000 crore (approximately US$104.85 million) in export revenue within the next two years.

The formation of the associate company aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to diversify into value-added technical textiles while supporting the development of modern textile infrastructure in India.
