Myntra Expands Desigual’s Presence in India with Apparel Launch
Barcelona-based fashion brand introduces dresses, denim and jackets on Myntra, strengthening its footprint in the Indian market.
Myntra has expanded its partnership with Barcelona-based fashion brand Desigual by launching the brand’s apparel collection in India. The launch follows the successful introduction of Desigual’s accessories, handbags and backpacks on the platform last year and marks the next phase of the brand’s expansion in one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion markets.
The newly introduced collection features 90 styles across Desigual’s key categories, including dresses, denim, jackets and graphic knitwear. The range reflects the brand’s signature aesthetic, characterised by vibrant colours, artistic prints, patchwork detailing and asymmetrical silhouettes.
Founded in Barcelona in 1984, Desigual has built a global identity centred on creativity, individuality and self-expression. Positioned in the accessible luxury segment, the brand caters to millennials and Gen Z consumers seeking distinctive global fashion that bridges the gap between mainstream and luxury apparel.
Through its collaboration with Myntra, Desigual aims to strengthen brand awareness and connect with India’s digitally engaged fashion audience. With access to more than 75 million monthly active users, Myntra provides the brand with a platform to expand its reach while supporting long-term growth in the Indian market. The company also plans to introduce seasonal collections throughout the year to further diversify its offerings.
Commenting on the launch, Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omnichannel at Myntra, said the positive response to Desigual’s accessories highlighted the growing demand for design-led international fashion among Indian consumers. He noted that Myntra’s extensive reach and market insights position it to help global brands establish and scale their presence in India, while the addition of Desigual’s apparel portfolio reinforces the platform’s commitment to expanding international fashion choices for customers.
The launch comes as international brands continue to witness increasing demand on Myntra, with Tier 2 cities accounting for 45% of overall demand. The trend reflects the growing appetite for premium global fashion beyond metropolitan markets, driven by consumers seeking distinctive design, strong brand identity and accessible pricing.
Myntra currently offers a portfolio of more than 500 international brands, catering to evolving consumer preferences across premium, contemporary and trend-driven fashion categories.
