The Chinese textile printing and dyeing manufacturer aims to connect customer demand, product development and manufacturing through a unified digital R&D system.
Zhejiang Mizuda Textile Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd. (Mizuda) has selected Centric PLM from Centric Software to build a customer-centric innovation framework and strengthen its textile research and development processes.
With more than 30 years of experience, Mizuda has established itself in China’s textile printing and dyeing industry through manufacturing expertise and proprietary technology. Based in Huzhou, Zhejiang, the company integrates R&D, large-scale production and global sales across a portfolio covering corduroy, khaki, linen, multi-fiber, printed, dyed and functional fabrics.
Mizuda has an annual stable output of 100 million metres and serves apparel brands and customers in more than 60 countries.
As the company expanded its intelligent manufacturing capabilities, its R&D operations faced challenges in managing growing product knowledge, process data and customer requirements. Fragmented systems and siloed workflows limited visibility and slowed decision-making, creating a need for a unified digital source of information.
Mizuda therefore sought a PLM platform that could go beyond information digitisation and strengthen the connection between customer demand, product development and manufacturing execution.
“The data fragmentation we experienced made it clear that R&D transformation requires far more than a ready-made solution,” said Long Fangsheng, General Manager of Mizuda. “We required a partner who participates deeply in business process transformation spanning the system lifecycle.”
Following its evaluation, Mizuda selected Centric Software based on Centric PLM’s industry expertise, functional capabilities and technical offering.
“Centric PLM’s industry expertise, functional depth and technical capabilities precisely match Mizuda’s strategic requirements. This alignment is why we chose Centric Software as our partner for this project,” Long said.
The implementation will focus on developing a customer-centric digital R&D system that connects product development workflows, improves cross-functional collaboration and enhances traceability from market insight to production execution.
Mizuda will use Centric PLM to standardise go-to-market preparation, develop reusable customer-dimension product data assets and support a more iterative product lifecycle.
“With Centric PLM, we aim to create a unified digital thread that links product innovation, multi-level production planning and continuous lifecycle improvement,” Long added.
The company also expects the platform to connect trend research, design, manufacturing and service through an integrated data chain, supporting its ongoing digital and intelligent transformation.
Implementation planning has begun, with the Mizuda and Centric Software teams aligned on key milestones, risk management and phased objectives for system development, testing and deployment.
“Mizuda brings the professionalism, dedication and innovation mindset needed to turn digital transformation into measurable business value,” said Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software. “We are proud to partner with a forward-thinking manufacturer at the forefront of intelligent transformation in China’s printing and dyeing industry and look forward to supporting a successful Centric PLM implementation.”
