The Italian Trade Agency (ICE), in collaboration with Milano Unica, will present the excellence of Made-in-Italy textiles at Intertextile Apparel Fabrics Shanghai 2026, taking place from August 25–27 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai.
Covering a 480-square-metre Italian Pavilion, the showcase will feature 27 premium Italian textile collections presenting the latest Autumn/Winter 2027-28 fabrics. The exhibition will highlight Italy’s renowned expertise in premium menswear and womenswear textiles, combining craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability and advanced manufacturing.
The participation reinforces Shanghai’s importance as a strategic gateway for Italian textile companies seeking to strengthen their presence across China and the wider Asian market. China remains one of the most significant export destinations for Italian textiles, with growing demand for premium-quality fabrics that emphasize craftsmanship, traceability and sustainable production.
Visitors to the Italian Pavilion will experience a diverse selection of luxury fabrics that reflect Italy’s global leadership in textile design, material research and manufacturing excellence. The collections are expected to attract fashion brands, designers, sourcing professionals and international buyers looking for innovative textile solutions.
Fabio De Cillis, Director of ICE Shanghai, highlighted that the exhibition provides Chinese buyers with direct access to Italian textile innovation, combining superior craftsmanship, sustainability and supply chain transparency—qualities that continue to distinguish Made-in-Italy products in global markets.
Massimo Mosiello, General Manager of Milano Unica, said the long-standing partnership with ICE continues to strengthen the international competitiveness of Italian textile manufacturers. He noted that participation at Intertextile Shanghai offers valuable opportunities to expand business relationships while showcasing the industry’s commitment to research, innovation, quality and sustainability.
The Italian Pavilion is expected to serve as a major business hub during Intertextile Shanghai 2026, fostering new commercial partnerships and reinforcing Italy’s position as one of the world’s leading suppliers of premium fashion textiles.
