TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, has strengthened its retail presence in Eastern India with the launch of its first Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) in Jharkhand. Located on the ground floor of Bindal Mall in Sonari, Jamshedpur, the new store expands the brand’s national retail network to 66 outlets.
Spread across more than 2,200 sq. ft., the outlet was inaugurated by Kumar Kushagra, Pankaj Kumar and Sahil Raj, bringing together notable personalities from Indian and Jharkhand cricket. The launch marks another milestone in TechnoSport’s strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets across the country.
Jharkhand has emerged as a key growth market for the brand, supported by strong performance through its general trade network. TechnoSport sees Jamshedpur’s expanding organised retail ecosystem, growing fitness culture and rising demand for affordable performance wear as key drivers for its retail expansion.
The launch also builds on the company’s partnership with the TechnoSport Jharkhand T20 League, where it serves as the title sponsor. Organised by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, the league is the state’s first official franchise-based T20 competition and reflects the brand’s continued investment in promoting grassroots sports.
Commenting on the launch, Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said the Jamshedpur store represents an important milestone in the company’s Eastern India expansion strategy. He noted that the city’s growing fitness-conscious consumer base and increasing demand for quality activewear make it an attractive market, while the new outlet will support the brand’s broader expansion across Jharkhand.
The new store features TechnoSport’s latest range of performance apparel designed for everyday fitness and active lifestyles. The collection includes lightweight quick-dry training T-shirts, breathable polo shirts, stretch joggers, shorts and products with anti-odour technology and enhanced durability, catering to Jamshedpur’s warm and humid climate.
To strengthen engagement with local consumers, TechnoSport plans to collaborate with the city’s fitness community through marathon-related initiatives and partnerships with leading gyms. As part of its long-term retail strategy, the company aims to expand its national network to approximately 130 Exclusive Brand Outlets by the end of FY27, with further growth planned across Jharkhand through a cluster-based expansion model.
