Sanathan Textiles Limited has commenced commercial production from its expanded Technical Textiles yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence in the fast-growing technical textiles segment.
The expansion has doubled Sanathan Textiles’ Technical Textiles yarn capacity from 9,000 MTPA to 18,000 MTPA. With this addition, the company’s total installed capacity across its three yarn verticals at its Silvassa and Punjab facilities has increased to 488,250 MTPA.
The expanded capacity is expected to strengthen Sanathan Textiles’ integrated manufacturing platform and enable the company to respond more effectively to evolving demand across specialised textile applications.
Expanding Technical Textile Applications
Technical Textiles represent a high-growth segment, with Sanathan Textiles supplying specialised yarns for a diverse range of applications. These include automotive, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, roads and railways, sportswear, healthcare and industrial safety.
The company’s technical textile yarns also serve protective and strategic applications, including fire-retardant protective wear, where performance, durability and specialised functional properties are critical.
The latest capacity expansion further enhances Sanathan Textiles’ ability to serve customers across these application areas while supporting the growing demand for high-performance textile materials.

With more than three decades of operations, Sanathan Textiles has established a diversified presence across three major yarn segments: polyester filament yarns, cotton yarn and yarns for technical textiles.
The company operates strategically located manufacturing facilities in Silvassa and Punjab, equipped with technologically advanced systems, including automated warehousing, transportation and package-handling infrastructure.
