Wiliot, a global leader in Physical AI for supply chains, has partnered with CISC Semiconductor to support high-volume functional testing of Wiliot’s battery-free IoT Pixels.
Under the partnership, CISC has optimized its BLE Xplorer testing solution for Wiliot’s IoT Pixels and integrated it with the Wiliot Physical AI platform. The testing system can be incorporated into reel-to-reel production equipment or deployed as a dedicated offline tester, providing label and tag manufacturers with a standardized solution across different production environments.
Standardized testing to accelerate IoT Pixel manufacturing
Testing infrastructure can be one of the most complex aspects of establishing a new IoT Pixel production line. Manufacturers and suppliers often need to develop customized equipment and testing processes before production can begin.
CISC’s BLE Xplorer provides a repeatable testing approach designed to simplify supplier onboarding while helping Wiliot expand the global manufacturing capacity for its IoT Pixels.

Testing speeds of up to 6,500 units per hour
BLE Xplorer supports testing speeds of up to 6,500 units per hour per lane on a single station. This represents more than four times the approximately 1,500 units per hour supported by a conventional stop-and-go testing station.
The system provides an individual pass-or-fail result for every unit, enabling manufacturers to conduct 100% production testing. Multiple testing stations can also operate in parallel, providing a pathway to higher aggregate throughput as manufacturing volumes increase.
The solution performs a near-field functionality test on each IoT Pixel to verify that it is operational and responds correctly. Through its interface with the Wiliot Physical AI platform, test results can be recorded at the individual-unit level, allowing manufacturers to identify nonfunctioning IoT Pixels before they move further through the production process.
Integration with production equipment
BLE Xplorer can connect with new and existing reel-to-reel equipment through trigger lines, serial interfaces and general-purpose input/output hardware connections. The system can synchronize with production machinery and support automated sorting or marking based on individual test results, while also recording production data for each unit.
Specialized antenna configurations help isolate the unit under test in dense production environments, ensuring that individual test results correspond to the correct IoT Pixel.
For production lines where testing throughput does not match the operating speed of conversion machinery, manufacturers can deploy BLE Xplorer as a dedicated offline testing system.

Supporting the growth of Physical AI applications
Wiliot’s Physical AI platform creates a continuous, scan-free sensing layer across supply chains using battery-free Bluetooth IoT Pixels that harvest energy from ambient radio waves. AI and machine learning models process the signals generated by the pixels to transform data on location, temperature, humidity, movement and dwell time into real-time intelligence and automated workflows.
Expanded manufacturing capacity is expected to support wider deployment of Wiliot applications, including Inventory Intelligence, Automated Receiving, Automated Shipment Verification, Reusable Asset Tracking and Temperature Monitoring.

CISC is scheduled to begin pre-sales for BLE Xplorer in September 2026. The solution will debut at LOUPE Americas 2026 in Chicago, with first customer deliveries scheduled for the end of Q3 2026.
