Alok Industries is entering a new phase of growth. The company is focusing on its home textile business.

Its plans cover product development, design and technology. The company is also strengthening manufacturing and merchandising.

Market intelligence is another focus area. These steps support the changing needs of global retailers and brands.

Focus on Innovation

Alok Industries wants to compete beyond manufacturing scale. The company is focusing on innovation, quality and design.

Technology is also part of its growth plan. The company aims to improve speed and customer value.

“We are changing how we think about the home textile business – how we innovate, develop products, serve customers and respond to the market,” said Biji Chacko, COO, Alok Industries Ltd.

“Our ambition is to compete globally on much more than manufacturing scale. We want to compete on innovation, quality, design, technology, speed and, most importantly, the value we create for our customers,” he added.

Partnership with Studio Heritage Living

Alok Industries has partnered with Studio Heritage Living (SHL). The partnership covers product strategy and packaging.

It also includes merchandising and retail architecture. The work focuses on bedding and bath products.

The partners aim to create clearer product stories. They also want to make product selection easier for consumers.

The approach is designed to offer greater commercial value to retailers.

New York Showroom

Alok Industries is presenting its new approach at the New York Home Fashions Market.

The company has unveiled a new Home Textile Showroom Experience. The showroom is located at 105 Madison Ave.

The space brings sleep and bath products together. It offers a contemporary setting for U.S. retailers and brands.

Sourcing partners are also part of the target audience.

“The U.S. market is telling us that product alone is not enough. Retailers are looking for differentiated collections, compelling stories and partners who understand the consumer and the retail environment,” said Avinash Malani, divisional head of home textiles at Alok Industries.

Malani also highlighted the full product journey. This starts with fibre and fabric.

It then moves to product development and packaging. Presentation and consumer experience are also part of the process.

Focus on Bedding and Bath

Studio Heritage Living is a strategic sourcing and product development advisory. The firm works with the global home textile industry.

Disha Shah founded the firm. She has 25 years of experience in home textile supply chains.

Her experience includes China, Turkey, Portugal, Egypt and Bangladesh.

The partnership connects product development with packaging. It also links merchandising with consumer behaviour.

“Together, we’ve developed a retail architecture that connects product development, packaging, merchandising and consumer behavior into one cohesive system, extending that same thinking to the bath collection so it reads as part of the same story as the bed,” she said.

The approach aims to create clearer product stories. It can also simplify purchase decisions for consumers.

Alok Industries is continuing to build its home textile business. Its current focus includes products, design, technology and market development.
