GREW Solar has signed a five-year partnership with Caelux Corporation.
The agreement covers up to 4 GW of Caelux’s Energy Producing Glass. GREW Solar will use the glass to make advanced Hybrid-Tandem™ solar modules.
The new modules will combine perovskite technology with N-Type TOPCon technology.
Hybrid-Tandem Modules to Reach 29%+ Efficiency
GREW Solar will use Caelux technology with its existing TOPCon platform.
The new modules will have two energy-producing layers. The companies are targeting efficiencies of more than 29%.
The technology will also be used in GREW Solar’s large-format G12R module series.
Caelux has developed a plug-and-play approach for its technology. This can help GREW Solar add the new technology to its existing production system.

GREW Solar Expands Manufacturing
GREW Solar started with a 1.2 GW production line in 2023.
The company has since expanded its manufacturing base. Today, it has 11 GW of module capacity and 8 GW of cell capacity.
The company is also building 8 GW of wafer and ingot capacity.
GREW Solar is expanding its manufacturing sites in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The expansion has created thousands of jobs.
More jobs are expected as the new partnership develops.
Commercial Production Planned for 2028
GREW Solar and Caelux are targeting 2028 for commercial production.
The companies plan to produce perovskite-plus-silicon modules in India. The modules are planned to meet Approved List of Module Manufacturers (ALMM) eligibility requirements.
The project also supports India’s Make in India vision and Production Linked Incentive (PLI) goals.
Hardip Singh, Chief Operating Officer, GREW Solar, said the company built its manufacturing platform in stages.
The platform now includes cells, modules, wafers and ingots. Caelux’s Energy Producing Glass will be added to this existing infrastructure.
Scott Graybeal, CEO of Caelux, said the partnership will combine GREW Solar’s manufacturing platform with Caelux’s solar technology.
Caelux has now contracted 19 GW of its technology with solar module manufacturers worldwide.
The partnership with GREW Solar will support the next stage of perovskite solar technology in India.
