Pinterest is testing a new AI room restyling feature called Restyle. The tool uses Pinterest Intelligence to help users redesign room photos with different decor ideas.

The feature is currently in beta for users in the United States and Canada. It allows people to explore changes within images of their own spaces.

AI Helps Users Restyle Rooms

Pinterest Restyle can add or change several room elements. These include:

  • Wall art
  • Furniture
  • Lighting
  • Plants
  • Accessories
  • Paint colours
  • Other home decor items

Users can also select individual items in a room. They can swap, erase, or edit these elements to create a different look.

The tool supports different design styles. Users can request styles such as bohemian, industrial, whimsical, and dopamine decor.

AI Supports Visual Home Shopping

The feature connects room inspiration with more personalised visualisation. Users can see how different decor ideas may work within a room setting.

This approach also supports visual commerce. Furniture and home decor brands can use similar tools to help shoppers explore products in realistic room settings.

Pinterest’s Restyle feature reflects the growing use of AI in interior design and e-commerce. It combines inspiration, visual editing, and product discovery in one experience.
