Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 has ended in Shanghai. The show brought together around 600 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions.
Nearly 22,000 visitors attended the event. They came from 110 markets.
The show focused on fibres and yarns. Sustainable materials were a major part of the event.
Recycled, bio-based and regenerated fibres were on display. Buyers also explored new yarns for different textile uses.
Recycled and Sustainable Yarns
Many exhibitors presented recycled materials. They also showed new fibre technologies.
Indorama Ventures from Thailand displayed its 100% recycled PET deja™ range.
Toray Industries from Japan presented plant-based polyester. The company also showed its NANODESIGN® technology.
The Lurex Company from the UK displayed recycled metallic yarns. Its products also offered traceability.
Hangzhou Benma Chemfibre and Spinning presented regenerated polyester. The material was made from PET bottles and textile waste.
These products can be used in many textile sectors. These include fashion, activewear and home textiles.
International Textile Suppliers
The Uzbekistan Pavilion returned to Yarn Expo Autumn. It included eight exhibitors.
The pavilion highlighted Uzbekistan’s cotton textile sector. It covered the supply chain from cotton to garments.
Vietnam’s Importeer International also took part in the show. The company supplied cotton from several countries.
These included Australia, Brazil, India and the US.
The company also displayed virgin and recycled synthetic fibres.
Egyptian Co For Flax And Its Products presented flax fibres and yarns. The company supplies products to export markets.
New Fibre Developments
New fibre ideas were another key part of the show.
The Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends Display Zone presented more than 300 samples.
The China Chemical Fibre Association organised the display zone.
The samples included new fibre and yarn developments.
The New Fibre New World programme also explored new materials. It covered four main themes.
These included temperature-regulating fibres. Resource recycling was another key theme.
The programme looked at greener production and new textile uses.
Buyers Look for Sustainable Products
Sustainability was important for many visitors.
Buyers met suppliers from different markets. They also reviewed new yarn and fibre products.
Some visitors were looking for recycled yarns. Others focused on certified materials.
Visitors from Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh shared their sourcing needs. They also explored new supplier options.
Exhibitors reported discussions with buyers from several markets. The show also helped them understand current sourcing needs.
Four Textile Shows in Shanghai
Yarn Expo Autumn took place alongside three other events.
These were Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC and PH Value.
The four shows covered different parts of the textile industry. These included fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel and fashion.
The combined events helped buyers meet more suppliers. They also created opportunities for business discussions.
Next Yarn Expo Edition
The next Yarn Expo Spring will take place from 10–12 March 2027.
The event will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
