Remscheid, October 8, 2026: Barmag will showcase its latest textile production technologies at India ITME 2026, from December 4 to 9 at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The company will present its portfolio at Booth C15, Hall 10.

The portfolio focuses on automation, energy efficiency, digitalisation and production flexibility. A key highlight will be Barmag POY 2.0, a new concept for the production of partially oriented yarn (POY).

Barmag POY 2.0 targets efficiency

Barmag POY 2.0 covers the complete POY process chain. It combines spinning, quenching, winding and digital process control.

The concept includes the new Barmag WINGS POY 2.0 winder. It features a fully automatic string-up function. This can reduce startup time, material waste and operator intervention.

The DIO Spin Pack Generation 2 also forms part of the concept. Its compact design can reduce filter sand consumption by around one-third. Component weight is also reduced by more than 30%.

Barmag says the redesigned spinning beam can deliver energy savings of up to 10%. The EvoQuench 2.0 system further supports easier process adjustments and shorter setup times.

Digital production with atmos.io

Barmag will also highlight its atmos.io digital platform. The system connects production data across the yarn manufacturing process.

The platform gives production teams greater visibility into machine and process information. It can support early detection of quality deviations and data-based process decisions.

Its app-based structure also allows manufacturers to select functions based on their production needs.

New focus on flexible production

Barmag will present the WINGS FDY FLEX winding concept for flexible production. The system supports a broad production range and rapid product changes. It can also process different yarn types, including recycled polyester materials.

For texturing, the eFK EvoSmart combines process control, EvoHeater technology and Smart Godet technology. Barmag says the machine can reduce specific energy consumption by up to 25% per kilogram of yarn.

The company has also partnered with India’s Hitech Automation Solutions to integrate the Doffmatic solution into eFK systems. The retrofit approach supports automation in existing texturing lines.

Neumag expands staple fibre and nonwoven technologies

Barmag’s Neumag product line will showcase technologies for staple fibre, carpet yarn and nonwoven production.

The EvoSteam process targets lower energy use and consistent fibre quality. Neumag will also highlight robotic spin pack cleaning, which can improve cleaning consistency and reduce manual work.

For carpet yarn, BICO BCF technology is designed to improve carpet bulk and recovery while reducing face fibre consumption by around 20%. FiberGuard BCF uses sensors to monitor yarn tension and adjust production parameters when deviations occur.

In nonwovens, the patented hycuTEC technology can achieve electrostatic charging efficiencies of up to 99.99% in meltblown materials using osmosis-treated water.

Recycling and polymer technology

Barmag Huitong Engineering will also present homogenisation technology for thermomechanical recycling of post-industrial polyester waste.

The technology supports the production of defined intermediate products for pellets, melt or direct-spinning fibres. It can also help manufacturers increase the value of recycled materials and improve control over polymer quality.

Through these technologies, Barmag aims to combine automation, digitalisation, energy efficiency and resource optimisation. The company describes this approach as “A New Era. Powered by Innovation.”
