The global home textile products market is projected to reach USD 275.1 billion by 2036, up from USD 132.7 billion in 2025. According to Transparency Market Research, the market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.8% from 2026 to 2036.

Sustainability and Urbanisation Drive Market Growth

Demand for sustainable materials is influencing product development across the home textile industry. Consumers are showing greater interest in organic cotton, recycled polyester, bamboo and hemp. In response, manufacturers are investing in responsible sourcing, water-efficient production and environmentally friendly dyes.

Urbanisation and home improvement activities are also supporting demand. Bedding, towels, curtains, rugs and decorative furnishings remain important product categories as consumers update their living spaces.

Bedroom Textiles Lead the Market

Bedroom textiles accounted for 34.5% of global market revenue in 2025, making them the leading product segment. Asia-Pacific held the largest regional share at 42.2%, supported by its large consumer base and established textile manufacturing sector.

Meanwhile, e-commerce, customised products and direct-to-consumer sales are creating new opportunities for manufacturers and retailers. Demand from hospitality and healthcare facilities is also supporting the need for durable, easy-care and hygienic textiles.

However, the industry faces challenges from fluctuating raw material prices, supply chain disruptions and rising manufacturing costs. Companies must balance affordability, product quality and sustainability as market demand evolves.

Transparency Market Research expects urbanisation, home renovation and online retail expansion to remain important growth drivers through 2036.
