NCRTC has invited bids to lease over 2,000 square metres of retail space at New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Station. The move aims to improve commuter convenience and create new business opportunities.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids for leasing commercial retail space at New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Station. The initiative aims to expand commercial activity and strengthen non-fare revenue.

The New Ashok Nagar station retail space covers more than 2,000 square metres on the concourse level. Its location within the passenger movement area offers businesses visibility and direct access to commuters. The space can accommodate retailers, food and beverage operators, lifestyle brands and other businesses.

The station connects with the Delhi Metro’s New Ashok Nagar station. It also serves commuters travelling between Delhi and Noida. Nearby residential areas, commercial centres and educational institutions provide access to a diverse customer base.

Passenger facilities include parking for approximately 73 cars and 284 two-wheelers, along with electric vehicle charging points. The station also offers accessibility features for passengers with disabilities. In addition, e-rickshaws and autos support last-mile connectivity.

The Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor has recorded more than 4.5 crore passenger journeys since operations began. It recently registered its highest daily ridership, with over 1.68 lakh passenger journeys. This passenger traffic creates commercial opportunities for businesses operating at stations along the corridor.

NCRTC has also offered or licensed commercial spaces at Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, Sarai Kale Khan, Begumpul and stations between Partapur and Modipuram. These initiatives form part of its wider property development programme.

Through this programme, NCRTC aims to improve passenger amenities and generate non-fare box revenue. The approach also supports commercial development around transit hubs.

Interested businesses can participate through the e-tendering process. Tender details, eligibility requirements, terms and timelines are available on the official NCRTC website and the Central Public Procurement Portal.
