Amsterdam At the World Sustainability Awards, Ciclo won the Sustainable Technology Provider of the Year award for their efforts to lessen textile-related microfiber contamination.
A technology provider who is revolutionizing the environment or society is recognized with this accolade. Ciclo was one of eight businesses in its category that made the short list.
World Sustainability Leaders, a global community and intelligence network for CSOs and ESG leaders working to promote sustainability projects, is in charge of organizing the awards program. The 2024 awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in Amsterdam on October 24, set the standard for significant advancements in environmental sustainability across a range of businesses.
The business that developed Ciclo technology, Intrinsic Advanced Materials (IAM), said, “We are honored to be recognized alongside distinguished global brand winners like Heineken, Unilever, Eastman, and Coca-Cola.”
In 2018, the Silicon Valley company Intrinsic Textiles Group and Parkdale Advanced Materials, the cutting-edge fibers and yarns branch of textile behemoth Parkdale Inc., a top producer of spun yarns worldwide, partnered to form IAM.
“This award honors our shared dedication to pushing limits, bringing about change, and enhancing natural environments across the globe,” IAM added. “We cordially invite you to join us in celebrating this accomplishment, which demonstrates our common commitment to addressing one of the biggest issues facing the textile industry: the pollution caused by synthetic microfibers.”
Additionally, Ciclo has received recognition from the 2024 ConsiderBeyond Conscious Brand Awards and Digiday’s Greater Good Awards for Sustainability. Many home textiles, particularly sheets, towels, and fills, use its biodegradable fibers.
