Archroma declares organizational and leadership changes

Mark Garrett moves to the board of directors, while Rajiv Sharma becomes the new CEO of Archroma.

Switzerland’s Pratteln, September 30, 2024 – With effect from October 1, 2024, Rajiv Sharma will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals towards sustainable solutions. Sharma will hold primary responsibility for the Textile Effects division. Mark Garrett, the Group’s current CEO, will join the Archroma Board of Directors.

Rajiv Sharma joins Archroma after working for Coats Group plc (LSE: COA.L) for 14 years.where he spent the previous eight years as Group Chief Executive. In his capacity as CEO of the UK-listed business, which leads the globe in the production of thread and structural components for clothing and footwear, Mr. Sharma established a foundation for profitable expansion and molded an innovative, customer-focused, digitally-driven, and environmentally conscious corporate culture.

To better focus on and accelerate the growth of the packaging industry, Archroma’s Packaging Technologies company will be reorganized as a focused business activity on October 1, 2024, coinciding with these leadership changes. It will continue under the proven leadership of its CEO, Sameer Singla, who will report directly to the Archroma Board of Directors. Over the past two years, Packaging Technologies has also experienced significant growth under more committed leadership, and the organizational changes will enable both Textile Effects and Packaging Technologies to maintain their emphasis on providing the best possible services to their respective clientele and markets.
