ATDC, RIICO Join Hands to Train 200 Youth in Apparel Manufacturing
CSR-backed initiative focuses on industry-ready skills, practical training and employment opportunities in Rajasthan’s apparel sector
The Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC) has partnered with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) to provide apparel manufacturing training to 200 youth under RIICO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening the skilled workforce for Rajasthan’s growing apparel industry through industry-oriented training programmes and placement support.
The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in March 2026 to conduct training in Apparel Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and Production Supervisor Sewing (PSS).
To officially launch the initiative, an inauguration and toolkit distribution ceremony was organised at ATDC’s Jaipur centre, where trainees received toolkits to support practical learning during the course.
As part of the programme, four batches of the Apparel Manufacturing Technology (AMT) course covering 100 candidates have been planned. The first batch, consisting of 27 trainees, commenced training in May 2026.
Additionally, the Production Supervisor Sewing (PSS) programme for another 100 participants is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
Under the CSR initiative, RIICO is fully sponsoring the training costs for all participants, while each trainee will also receive a toolkit to enhance hands-on learning and technical skill development.
Speaking on the occasion, Atul Sharma, Senior Deputy General Manager, RIICO, said the partnership is designed to strengthen Rajasthan’s skilled workforce for the apparel manufacturing sector.
Aseem Singla, LMC Convenor, highlighted that the programme places strong emphasis on practical training and placement assistance to improve employability among participants.
Dr. Roopali Shukla, Director, ATDC, acknowledged RIICO’s support under its CSR initiative and said the training programmes have been designed in line with the evolving requirements of the apparel manufacturing industry.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Aseem Singla, Atul Sharma, Dr. Roopali Shukla, Rajeev Diwan, Naveen Advani, Siddarth Gadhaiya and Harish Punjabi.
