Atelier Soleil has partnered with SAIPL Global to create a new textile collection.
The collection takes inspiration from Vietnam. It includes printed and plain textiles for hospitality and residential spaces.
The collaboration explores how textiles can express the identity of a place. It uses patterns, colours and materials to create a sense of location.
A Design Approach Inspired by Place
Atelier Soleil is a sensory design studio founded by Florence Mussou.
Mussou begins each project by studying its location. She looks at plants, landscapes, colours, materials and local craft.
She describes herself as an “archaeologist of the place.”
“I’m not trying to apply a pattern to a place. I first try to understand what the place says. The landscapes, the plants, the colours, the materials and the know-how are all fragments that then make it possible to build a coherent and sensitive universe,” explains Florence Mussou, founder and creative director of Atelier Soleil.
This approach shaped the new textile collection with SAIPL Global.
Four Vietnam-Inspired Textile Themes
The collection features four creative themes. Each theme draws from a different part of Vietnamese culture and nature.
Jardin des Tropiques – Tropical Garden
This theme takes inspiration from tropical plants and the bird of paradise flower.
Palm leaves and rich foliage shape the designs. Deep green tones meet orange and coral accents.
Jardin de l’Indigo – Indigo Garden
This theme draws from Vietnamese batik traditions.
Indigo, blue and purple shades create a calm mood. The patterns also reflect traditional craft techniques.
Jardin du Riz – Rice Garden
This theme captures the beauty of Vietnamese rice fields.
Rice plants, tall grass and gentle movements inspire the designs. Straw tones and natural greens create a soft palette.
Jardin du Soleil – Solar Garden
This theme celebrates Vietnamese chrysanthemums and local kumquat markets.
Turmeric yellow and kumquat orange bring warmth to the designs. Deep blue adds contrast to the palette.
The colours also reflect the South of France, Florence Mussou’s homeland.
SAIPL Global Adds Textile Expertise
The collection combines Atelier Soleil’s creative vision with SAIPL Global’s textile expertise.
SAIPL Global, also known as Shree Ashtavinayak Impex Pvt Ltd, is based in Jaipur.
The company has more than 15 years of experience in textile design and manufacturing. Its services include printing, embroidery, textile development and tailoring.
SAIPL Global also works with skilled artisans and textile specialists. This allows the company to support projects from design development to final production.
The company is also SMETA certified. The certification supports its focus on ethical business practices.
“This collaboration allows us to go beyond drawing. We can work on how an idea really becomes a material, a pattern and a textile capable of finding its place in a project,” continues Florence Mussou.
Textiles Become Part of the Story
The collection presents textiles as more than decorative products.
Patterns and colours can help create the mood of an interior. They can also connect a space with its location and culture.
The new collection is designed for hospitality and residential projects. Printed fabrics can be paired with plain textiles to create a complete interior scheme.
