ChiuVention has introduced advanced automated textile testing technology to Bangladesh through a global laboratory conference. The event highlighted the shift from manual laboratory testing to intelligent, data-driven quality control.
Organised with support from BESTSELLER and hosted by ChiuVention’s sole agent, Md. Shariful Islam, CEO of SN Apparels, the seminar brought together more than 100 testing professionals, quality control specialists and industry representatives.
The BESTSELLER Global Quality Team attended the conference, with representatives from Turkey, India, Cambodia, Denmark and Bangladesh. Its suppliers, including Intertek, BV, SGS, TÜV, Hohenstein and GMS Testing Laboratories, also participated.
BESTSELLER Highlights the Importance of Smart Testing
BESTSELLER Global Sourcing Manager Tom highlighted the need for traceable testing data across the textile supply chain.
He explained that conventional testing instruments often lack complete data recording and traceability. Brands increasingly need connected systems that capture real-time information and support transparent quality management.
Tom noted that ChiuVention’s smart instruments can connect with ERP systems and record testing data automatically. He also highlighted the equipment’s quality and automation capabilities.
BESTSELLER therefore organised the conference to introduce ChiuVention’s testing solutions to its global team and suppliers in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Focuses on Advanced Quality Control
Md. Shariful Islam emphasised the importance of modern testing systems for Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry.
He explained that manufacturers must continuously improve quality, technology and testing capabilities to remain competitive in international markets.
He also highlighted how automated equipment can reduce testing time, minimise human error and improve result consistency. According to him, testing plays an important role throughout the quality management process, rather than serving only as a final production checkpoint.
ChiuVention Presents Smart Testing Solutions
Forrest Chiu, President of ChiuVention, presented the company’s latest testing technologies and shared technical insights with participants. He also joined an interactive question-and-answer session.
He highlighted ChiuVention’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh through automated equipment, technical training and after-sales services.
The company also announced its registration on a Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform, supporting developments related to DPP regulations.
Live Demonstrations of Automated Textile Testing Machines
Live demonstrations allowed participants to understand the performance and applications of ChiuVention’s testing equipment.
The company showcased several solutions for textile quality assessment:
SmartShrink Shrinkage Rate Tester: Measures fabric shrinkage and twist rates after washing, steaming and dry-cleaning processes within five seconds.
Smartindale Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester: Evaluates fabric resistance to abrasion and pilling, helping assess durability and appearance retention.
AirFicient Air Permeability Tester: Measures airflow through fabrics to assess their breathability and suitability for different applications.
HydroBurst Bursting Strength Tester: Evaluates the bursting strength of textile materials under pressure.
According to ChiuVention, these systems aim to improve testing productivity, reduce manual errors and deliver repeatable results. They also support international testing standards, including ISO, ASTM and AATCC.
Strengthening Bangladesh’s Textile Testing Capabilities
Reliable laboratory testing is becoming increasingly important for Bangladesh’s textile and apparel manufacturers. International buyers expect consistent quality, product durability and compliance with relevant standards.
Automated testing systems can help factories improve accuracy, shorten testing cycles and identify quality issues earlier. These capabilities also support better decision-making and stronger quality assurance.
Through SN Apparels, ChiuVention plans to expand its local presence with technical training, after-sales support and customised testing solutions.
The conference reflected the growing interest in intelligent laboratory systems across Bangladesh’s textile industry. As manufacturers move towards higher-value products and stricter quality requirements, automated textile testing technology is expected to play a greater role in the industry’s development.
