Bemberg™ to Make Independent Debut at Milano Unica 2026 with Dedicated Showcase
Bemberg™ will make its first independent appearance at Milano Unica 2026, unveiling a dedicated exhibition space that will showcase the fibre’s latest innovations alongside leading Italian and European textile partners for the Fall/Winter 2027/28 season.
The premium textile exhibition will take place from 7–9 July 2026 at Rho Fiera Milano, where Bemberg™ will be located in Hall 1, Booth B16. The showcase marks a significant milestone for the fibre brand as it strengthens its presence within the global premium textile market.
The exhibition will feature the latest fabric developments created in collaboration with Bemberg™’s long-standing network of European textile manufacturers. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore innovations designed for fashion fabrics, linings, activewear, intimate apparel and home textiles.
Produced exclusively in Japan from cotton linters—a natural pre-consumer byproduct of cottonseed oil—Bemberg™ is manufactured through a traceable closed-loop process. Representing only 0.01% of global fibre production, the material combines premium performance with responsible manufacturing practices.
Its environmental credentials are supported by internationally recognised certifications, including RCS, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, and ISO 14001. The fibre is also certified as biodegradable and compostable in soil through third-party testing by INNOVHUB, while marine biodegradability has been verified through TÜV Austria’s MARINE certification.
Milano Unica provides an important platform for Bemberg™ to strengthen its visibility while highlighting the collaborative approach that has long defined its product development strategy. Through partnerships with textile mills across Italy and Europe, the fibre continues to support innovation across multiple textile applications.
Participating partners include Bardazzi, Brunello, Ezio Ghiringhelli, Gianni Crespi Foderami, Infinity, Jackytex, Lanificio Faliero Sarti, Manifattura Pezzetti, Matias & Araújo, Nalya, Sidónios, SMI Tessuti, Staff Jersey, TBM, Teseo Como, Tessitura Luigi Uboldi and Tessitura Marco Pastorelli.
Among the exhibition highlights will be the Bemberg™ Fabric Library FW 2027/28, presenting new fabric developments created by partner mills using the fibre. The event will also feature the return of the traditional networking gathering organised by Infinity in collaboration with Bemberg™, scheduled for 8 July at 4:00 PM at the Infinity stand in Hall 7, Booth C01–03.
The exhibition also represents a new chapter for Bemberg™ following the successful reconstruction of its production facility in Japan after a fire temporarily affected operations. The recovery has enabled the company to resume its focus on innovation, strategic partnerships and international market expansion.
Designed to appeal through both touch and visual aesthetics, Bemberg™ offers a soft hand feel, fluid drape, natural lustre and moisture-management performance. These characteristics continue to make it a preferred material for designers and manufacturers seeking premium textile solutions that combine comfort, functionality and refined appearance.
With its debut independent showcase at Milano Unica, Bemberg™ reinforces its commitment to textile innovation, sustainability and collaboration while supporting the continued development of high-value textile applications across the European market.
