Bemberg™ Welcomes New CEO at Asahi Kasei Fibers Italia and Showcases Dynamic 2025 Agenda

2025 marks a new chapter for Bemberg™ in Italy. Following the return of Koji Hamada to Japan after four years of leadership in Europe, Junshu Furusawa has been appointed as the new CEO of Asahi Kasei Fibers Italia. With nearly two decades of experience at the Bemberg™ Division — including four years in Italy — Furusawa brings a strong background in innovation, product development, and strategic direction. His leadership will emphasize transparent communication and strong partner engagement, reaffirming Bemberg™’s role as a responsible innovator and trusted partner in luxury fashion and textiles.

A Responsible Religious Wardrobe Collection Debuts

Highlighting its versatility and commitment to sustainability, Bemberg™ has entered a new segment: the religious wardrobe. The POPOLO IN CAMMINO – JUBILEE 2025 – PELLEGRINI DI SPERANZA collection of liturgical vestments, designed by the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master and produced with fabrics from Brunello, pays tribute to Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’. Bemberg™’s circular economy model, traceability, and certified sustainability credentials make it the ideal fiber for this symbolic collection, uniting faith, fashion, and responsibility.

Showcasing Innovation at Global Trade Fairs

Bemberg™ continues its international presence with creative partnerships across events such as Milano Unica, FILO, Première Vision, and Denim by Première Vision. At Milano Unica, 18 partner mills unveiled their FW 2026–27 collections featuring Bemberg™, while upcoming showcases include:

Brunello: Booth 6D30 & 6F29

Inovafil: Booth 6R18

Manifattura Pezzetti: Booth 6F35

Matias & Araújo: Booth 6B21

Sidónios: Booth 6B24

Teseo: Booth 5L46

At the 64th edition of FILO, Bemberg™ will feature in the special Responsible Innovation space, presenting both its fiber story and new religious wardrobe applications.

Bemberg™ on SKY TG24 – Behind the Scenes in Japan

In October 2024, SKY TG24 filmed an exclusive two-part feature in Japan, later aired in May 2025. Guided by Motohiro Nagao, the documentary highlighted Bemberg™’s closed-loop production, chemical recovery, renewable hydroelectric power, and low-waste system. The program also showcased Tokyo-based brand Photocopieu and interviews with Kaoru Hashimoto, Senior GM of the Bemberg Division, alongside visits to the Moriyama Advanced Processing R&D Department for fiber testing. This feature gave audiences rare access to Bemberg™’s responsible innovation journey from fiber to fashion.

The Essence of Bemberg™

Bemberg™, crafted from cotton linters through a closed-loop process in Japan, is more than just a fiber — it is a sensory and responsible experience. Renowned for its softness, drape, luminosity, breathability, and comfort, it delivers freshness in summer and warmth in winter while ensuring a luxurious feel. Recognized by top designers and mills, Bemberg™ continues to drive conversations around responsible luxury, innovation, and collaboration in the fashion world.
