Berger Textiles has earned a prestigious Platinum rating from EcoVadis for its European operations, placing it in the top 1% of over 130,000 companies assessed globally. This recognition is a testament to the company’s dedication to sustainable business practices and minimizing environmental impact across its operations.
A pioneer in adopting eco-conscious innovations, Berger was among the first to introduce recycled PET fabrics with its EVO range, offering sustainable alternatives to its top-selling textiles. At the FESPA Global Print Expo 2025, Berger doubled down on its eco-commitment by making several core products available only in their EVO (sustainable) variants.
The company’s sustainability efforts are further backed by major certifications such as GRS, OEKO-TEX, and GOTS. Three years ago, Berger unveiled its comprehensive “we.respect” sustainability manifesto, aligning its environmental, social, and ethical goals into a cohesive framework.
CEO Alessandro Lanfranconi emphasized that the Platinum certification recognizes their approach to weaving sustainability into every aspect of their business — from sourcing and production to delivery — while maintaining product performance.
EcoVadis evaluates companies on 21 sustainability criteria spanning Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment is grounded in globally recognized frameworks such as UN Global Compact, ILO conventions, GRI, and ISO 26000.
