The latest collections by Caldeira include a geopolitically sound blend of fabrications sourced from throughout the world.

The collection unveiled at the New York Home Fashions event last week comprises ethically produced designs, Turkish jacquards, Belgian velvets, and Spanish tapestries.

“In order to give our retailer partners fantastic product alternatives and prevent them from having to place all of their eggs in the Chinese basket, we are looking to Belgium, Spain, and Turkey for new goods,” he said. Tony Caldeira, president of Caldeira, stated, “We will be here to keep business steady when things get out of control.”

“We make sure we have something for everyone because we supply to retailers at all levels,” he continued.

Included in the latest Cozy Living line are:

  • Turkish cut velvets composed of polyester approved by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
  • Soft chenilles with zigzag and flower designs
  • Thick boucles with a flanged edging and a large, faux-leather zipper pull
  • Pillows with sheepskin trim made of linen
  • Belgian cut velvets with boucle grounds composed of polyester dope-dyed and Lenzing “Ecovero” viscose
  • Spanish cotton picas with a flange edging
  • Spanish toile flatweave jacquards

Among the items in the Modern Folk collection are:

  • Spanish wall hangings
  • Pillows made of faux linen with polyester velvet piping certified by GRS
  • Turkish jacquards and tufted textured fabrics
  • Shearling obtained ethically as a food byproduct
  • Belgian cut velvets composed of polyester dope-dyed and Lenzing “Ecovero” viscose
  • chenilles with texture

According to Rachel Griffiths, vice president of sales at Caldiera, “retailers are looking to elevate their assortments with products that feature elevated styles because shoppers are willing to trade up and pay more when the perceived value is there.” “We’re satisfying that demand by improving our styles and incorporating glam-inspired elements like fur and fringe, textured materials, velour, boucles, and sustainably made goods, like what we produce in Oeko-Tex-certified mills in Belgium.”

Caldeira relocated into a 1,000-square-foot open-plan office in suite 202 at 230 Fifth Avenue ahead of the fall New York market. Caldeira has occupied the building for ten years this year.
