Capel Rugs is introducing five new hand-knotted wool rug collections for the current market season. The collections feature traditional and transitional designs, combining craftsmanship with contemporary interior styles.
The new collections include Atlas, Eluru, Scandi, Zaria and Elysia. Each offers distinct patterns, textures and colour palettes for residential interiors.
Atlas is hand-knotted in India using 100% wool blended with semi-worsted New Zealand yarns. Inspired by traditional geometric motifs, the collection features rich, saturated colours. According to Capel Rugs President of Sales and Marketing Cameron Capel, the designs combine global heritage with modern sophistication.
Eluru also uses 100% wool and features subtle geometric patterns in tonal colours. Its design focuses on texture and depth while maintaining a refined appearance.
Scandi combines Scandinavian-inspired simplicity with traditional craftsmanship. Made in India from 100% wool with blended semi-worsted New Zealand yarns, the collection features clean lines and understated patterns.
Zaria offers another Scandinavian-inspired design. It combines a simple floral motif with a clean aesthetic, creating a fresh interpretation of classic rug styling.
The fifth collection, Elysia, draws inspiration from traditional Asian designs. Its rich, saturated colours give the collection a distinctive look suited to contemporary interiors.
Capel Rugs will also offer a “Rugsy” stuffed animal giveaway to customers who place orders during the market. The company’s showroom is located at 200 N. Hamilton, space 110.
