Circ and Huafon have partnered to expand textile recycling in China. The companies plan to build a new facility to recycle polycotton textile waste.

The project will combine Circ’s recycling technology with Huafon’s manufacturing expertise and investment. It will operate within Huafon’s industrial facilities.

The first phase aims to process around 200 metric tons of textile waste per day. The companies also plan to add more capacity in future phases.

Circ’s technology will recover three materials from polycotton waste. These include recycled PTA, recycled MEG and cellulosic pulp. Manufacturers can use these materials to produce new textiles.

Huafon will invest in the project alongside Circ and other selected investors. It will also contribute its engineering, logistics and manufacturing capabilities. Meanwhile, Circ will connect the project with global brands, textile manufacturers and buyers.

Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ, said China plays a key role in global textile production. He added that Huafon’s industrial capabilities and investment would support the project’s expansion.

The partnership also supports China’s focus on recycling and green manufacturing. Both companies plan to work with brands, supply-chain partners and buyers as the project develops.

The new facility aims to support textile-to-textile recycling in China and other global markets.
