CMAI’s 83rd National Garment Fair Opens in Mumbai with 960+ Brands

The three-day B2B apparel sourcing event brings together 25,000 retailers and buyers across twin venues in Mumbai.

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India’s (CMAI) 83rd National Garment Fair (NGF) opened in Mumbai on July 13, 2026, bringing together more than 960 menswear, womenswear and accessories brands with retailers and apparel industry stakeholders from across India and overseas.

The Womenswear segment is being held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, while the Menswear segment is taking place at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, Bandra. The fair will continue until July 15, 2026.

The event was inaugurated by Guests of Honour Rohit Kedia of Baazar Style Retail Ltd. (Style Bazaar), Kolkata; Pankaj Mirchandani of G. Sachanand/Kalamandir, Indore; and Divesh Malve of Taruni Clothing Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, in the presence of CMAI office bearers, managing committee members, exhibitors and retailers.

Spread across more than 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, the fair features 600+ womenswear brands, 345 menswear brands and 45 accessories brands. The exhibition includes 560+ womenswear stalls and 330+ menswear stalls, while 284 pan-India platinum buyers have also been provided privileged facilities.

The fair is positioned as a sourcing platform for the Indian apparel industry ahead of the festive and wedding season. Retailers, distributors, wholesalers and trade buyers from India and international markets including the UAE, Fiji, Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mauritius, Albania and Sri Lanka are participating in the event.

The exhibition showcases a wide range of apparel and fashion brands across womenswear and menswear categories, offering buyers opportunities to explore upcoming festive season collections, build business partnerships and expand market networks.

Speaking at the inauguration, Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, said the Indian apparel market is witnessing steady growth, particularly through consumption in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. He also highlighted the role of e-commerce in expanding the reach of regional brands and said the NGF is supporting the process by connecting apparel brands and retailers ahead of a key retail season.

Rohit Kedia, Baazar Style Retail Ltd. (Style Bazaar), Kolkata, said the fair provides a platform connecting retailers with manufacturers and gives buyers an opportunity to explore the collections showcased by exhibitors and partners.

Pankaj Mirchandani, G. Sachanand/Kalamandir, Indore, credited CMAI and the National Garment Fair with supporting the company’s journey in the garmenting sector. Divesh Malve, Taruni Clothing Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, also expressed appreciation for CMAI’s continued support and recognition.

Commenting on the event, Rohit Munjal, Vice President and Chairman, Fair Sub-Committee, CMAI, said the 83rd edition reflects the scale and diversity of India’s apparel industry. He noted that the fair has been divided across two dedicated venues, with more than 25,000 square metres of exhibition space for womenswear and 15,000+ square metres for menswear.

CMAI has also arranged dedicated shuttle services to improve visitor convenience during the exhibition. Services are operating between NESCO and Goregaon Railway Station (East), NESCO and the MMRDA Grounds, Jio Garden Parking and the MMRDA Grounds, and between Hall 1 and Hall 2 at the MMRDA venue. A dedicated BEST bus service is also operating between Bandra Railway Station (East) and the MMRDA Grounds.

The shuttle and bus services will be available at regular intervals throughout the three exhibition days from July 13 to 15.

With 82 editions successfully completed, CMAI’s National Garment Fair continues to serve as a major B2B platform for India’s apparel industry, connecting manufacturers, brands, retailers and buyers across the value chain.
