Crocs Appoints Kumar Harshit as Commercial Director for India

Footwear brand Crocs has appointed Kumar Harshit as Commercial Director Retail & Wholesale for its India operations.

In his new role, Harshit will lead Crocs’ retail and wholesale business across the country and take responsibility for the profitability of its offline operations.

His responsibilities will include overseeing company-operated stores, franchise and partner-led outlets and wholesale distribution. He will also focus on business expansion, improving commercial performance and strengthening Crocs’ presence in the Indian market.

Harshit brings nearly two decades of experience in the fashion and footwear industry. Before joining Crocs, he spent close to 17 years with Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited, holding leadership roles across retail, merchandising and sales.

Most recently, Harshit served as Vice President and Product Merchandise Director for Peter England.

Earlier in his career, he held positions including Retail Director for Reebok India, Head of Retail for Van Heusen’s Emerging Markets business, National Sales Head – Key Accounts for Louis Philippe and Category Head for Louis Philippe.

During his tenure at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Harshit also led Van Heusen’s retail business across the company’s emerging markets portfolio and worked as National Sales Head – Key Accounts for Louis Philippe.

He additionally spent nearly nine years leading the sportswear and denim categories for Louis Philippe.

With his experience across retail, wholesale, merchandising and category management, Harshit will lead Crocs India’s commercial and offline business operations in his new role.
