DCK Group Adopts Centric Planning to Modernize Merchandising Across 1,500 Stores

UK-based jewellery and accessories retailer DCK Group has selected Centric Planning™ from Centric Software® to enhance its merchandising, planning, and forecasting operations across its extensive concession retail network. The move forms part of the company’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Digital Upgrade for a Growing Retail Network

Founded in Essex over 30 years ago, DCK Group designs, sources, and distributes fashion jewellery to leading UK retailers, including Marks & Spencer, River Island, and Next. The company operates more than 1,500 concession points of sale and manages around 27,000 active SKUs, making merchandising and inventory planning increasingly complex.

To support continued growth, DCK will replace spreadsheet-based planning processes with Centric Planning, an AI-powered solution designed to provide real-time visibility and improved forecasting capabilities.

Replacing Manual Planning with Automation

According to the company, merchandising teams previously relied on large manual spreadsheets to extract sales data and manage planning activities. As the business expanded, these methods became increasingly difficult to scale and maintain.

With Centric Planning, DCK expects to automate data management processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and provide teams with faster access to detailed business insights. The platform is expected to reduce time spent manipulating data, allowing planners to focus more on trading performance and assortment optimization.

Oliver Simons, Trading Director at DCK Group, said the company required a solution capable of supporting planning across multiple retail partners, product collections, and seasonal cycles while improving flexibility and scalability.

Strengthening Data-Driven Decision Making

The implementation represents another step in DCK Group’s ongoing digital transformation programme, aimed at building stronger data foundations across its operations.

Centric Planning will support:

  • Merchandise financial planning
  • Assortment management
  • Forecasting and demand planning
  • Real-time business visibility
  • Improved planning agility

The company expects the platform to provide greater control over merchandising decisions while reducing dependence on manual spreadsheets.

Supporting Retail Growth

Centric Software stated that the implementation aligns with DCK Group’s objective of improving operational efficiency through AI-powered planning tools.

The project is designed to help the retailer manage its expanding multi-channel business more effectively while supporting faster and more informed merchandising decisions across its network of concession stores.
