Raleigh, North Carolina — June St. George, a bespoke interiors firm, is naming and honoring several of its current product lines after the areas of western North Carolina that Hurricane Helene recently devastated.
Founder Ally-Catherine Trenary, a native Carolinian, will donate 20% of the revenue from each item purchased to local charities that have been recommended to her by friends, coworkers, and community members. Trenary said she will match the cash generated through purchases.
Samaritan’s Purse will get the proceeds from the sale of the chosen pillows, and Brother Wolf Animal Rescue will benefit from the sale of pet beds.
Trenary claimed she spent her adolescence touring Brevard, Hendersonville, Asheville and other mountain communities in North Carolina. The names of the decorative pillow collections from Asheville, Henderson, Brevard Fawn Spot, and Highland are derived from the natural beauty and craftsmanship of the respective locations that served as inspiration for the designs.
“June St. George is pleased to honor our Southern roots; we produce our textiles, dog beds, and pillows here in the South,” the spokesperson stated. “Thankfully, all of our team members and their families are safe despite extensive damage and power disruptions. Amazingly, our powerful team members have offered to keep working on our handcrafted goods at home. A bright spot amid the destruction has been their tenacity and the strength of community they have shown.
