Devan presented its latest innovations in functional textile technologies at Heimtextil 2026, held in Frankfurt from January 13 to 16. As the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil brought together key stakeholders from across the global textile value chain, offering Devan an ideal platform to highlight solutions designed to improve sleep comfort, well-being and performance.

At the exhibition, Devan introduced a portfolio of new textile technologies addressing the growing demand for fabrics that support better sleep quality and overall wellness, reinforcing the company’s focus on science-driven comfort solutions.

Devan Comfort: Thermal Balance for Restful Sleep

One of the key highlights at Devan’s booth was Devan Comfort, the company’s patented polymer technology developed to deliver thermal comfort throughout the night. The technology actively cools and manages moisture, creating a balanced sleep environment.

Unlike conventional fabrics that tend to trap heat and humidity, often causing discomfort and sleep disruption, Devan Comfort regulates temperature and moisture to support a consistently comfortable and restful sleeping experience.

Well-Being Technologies for Recovery and Emotional Balance

Devan also expanded its Devan Revital range with the introduction of two new active ingredients aimed at enhancing well-being:

  • Recovera, a synergistic formulation designed to soothe, revitalize and support the body’s natural recovery mechanisms

  • Mood Boost, which transforms everyday textiles into mood-enhancing fabrics that promote relaxation and improved sleep quality

Both innovations are based on Devan’s patented micro-encapsulation technology, clinically tested across multiple bioactives and textile substrates. The controlled release mechanism ensures effective delivery through skin contact and/or olfactive inhalation, maintaining long-lasting bioactive performance.

Introducing a 95% Biobased Flame Retardant

Devan also unveiled Devan Bioflam, a 95% biobased flame retardant made entirely from renewable resources. Free from halogens, heavy metals and antimony, Bioflam provides effective flame-retardant protection while preserving the natural softness and handle of the fabric, offering a safer and more sustainable solution for home textile applications.

Cooling Innovation for Foam Applications

Another notable launch was Devan Cool TOC HC 404, a patented cooling technology specifically engineered for foam applications. The technology enables textiles to dissipate excess body heat, delivering an instant cooling sensation while maintaining long-term thermal balance. By keeping the body within an optimal comfort range, TOC HC 404 enhances overall comfort and well-being in temperature-sensitive applications.

100% Plant-Based Moisture Management

Completing the innovation portfolio, Devan introduced Devan Quickdry – Devatec Wik Bio, a readily biodegradable moisture management technology developed from 100% renewable, plant-based raw materials. The solution supports efficient moisture control while meeting growing sustainability expectations.

Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the innovations presented at Heimtextil, Dr. Roberto Teixeira, CTO of Devan, said,

“Our goal is to combine science and comfort in ways that genuinely improve everyday life. From active cooling to well-being-enhancing textiles, each innovation we present is designed to help people sleep better, feel better and enjoy fabrics that work as hard as they do. Heimtextil gives us the perfect stage to share these solutions with the global textile community.”

Reinforcing Commitment to Functional Innovation

Devan’s participation at Heimtextil 2026 reaffirmed its commitment to advancing functional, comfort-enhancing textile finishes and strengthening its role as a trusted innovation partner for the global home textile industry.
