Diamond Mattress Luxury Sales Surge as Premium Demand Grows

Premium Product Sales Outpace Broader Bedding Market

Rancho Dominguez, California – Diamond Mattress has reported significant growth in its luxury mattress business, reflecting continued consumer demand for premium sleep products despite broader pressures on discretionary spending.

According to company executives, gross sales of mattresses priced at $2,000 and above increased 28% between January and early June 2026 compared with the same period last year. Unit sales in the category rose 33% during the same period.

The strongest performance came from the upper end of the market. Gross sales of mattresses retailing between $2,000 and $2,999 increased 33% year-on-year, while unit sales of mattresses priced above $3,000 surged by 60%.

Luxury Segment Gains Larger Share of Sales

The growth has significantly altered the company’s product mix. Luxury mattresses now contribute 28.2% of Diamond Mattress’ total gross sales, compared with 21.6% during the same period in 2025.

Company executives attributed the momentum to strong demand across several premium collections, including Technogel, Black Diamond, and Generations. Consumer interest in wellness-focused sleep products, cooling technologies, and advanced sleep solutions has also supported growth.

Focus on Advanced Sleep Technologies

Shaun Pennington, CEO of Diamond Mattress, said the luxury category now represents more than one-quarter of the company’s total sales revenue and is expected to continue expanding.

The company is preparing to introduce its remerchandised Gel Grid collection and the Auto Pilot 2.0 smart bed at the upcoming Summer Las Vegas Market, aiming to capitalize on growing consumer demand for technology-driven sleep products.

Premium Collections Drive Momentum

Diamond Mattress highlighted strong performance from its Technogel collection, launched earlier this year. The collection incorporates patented medical-grade gel technology designed to deliver cooling, support, and pressure relief, and has already secured placements with several leading retailers.

The company’s Black Diamond collection focuses on temperature regulation through its Diamond Ice Flex technology, which uses mineral-infused bands intended to dissipate body heat. The collection also incorporates cooling materials such as graphene, charcoal, and temperature-regulating fabrics.

Meanwhile, the Generations collection targets luxury consumers with premium materials including latex, wool, Tencel fabric, micro-coils, and handcrafted finishes inspired by the company’s founding family heritage.

New Product Launches Planned

Looking ahead, Diamond Mattress plans to strengthen its premium portfolio with new product introductions at the Summer Las Vegas Market. The company believes these launches will provide retail partners with additional opportunities to benefit from rising consumer interest in luxury, performance-oriented sleep products.

As demand for high-end mattresses continues to grow, Diamond Mattress remains focused on expanding its presence in the premium sleep category through innovation, advanced materials, and smart sleep technologies.
