Rancho Dominguez California— Diamond Mattress has successfully achieved its goal of obtaining Greenguard Gold certification for all of its mattress products made in its two Texas and California factories.
The business said earlier this year that it was working to obtain UL Solutions’ Greenguard Gold certification for its whole line. Diamond’s technology-focused products, such as the Auto Pilot smartbed, Technogel, and the Gel Grid by Diamond Mattress, are now included in the expanded accreditation.
Diamond Mattress will now use the Greenguard Gold designation on all of its products, including private-label options, since the whole product line has obtained the accreditation. Retailers and customers are reassured by this designation that they are selecting goods that promote healthier indoor environments.
Greenguard Gold certified goods adhere to strict health-based standards for over 300 distinct volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are connected to allergies, asthma, and cardiovascular disease and are known to contribute to indoor air pollution. Testing is part of the certification process to show that the items help create a healthier home environment, lower emissions, and cleaner air.
Diamond Mattress’s CEO, Shaun Pennington, stated, “This milestone represents a vital commitment as we pursue our broader sustainability goals.” “We’ve long supported methods like recovering production-related foam and fabric waste, as well as employing steel and pads made of recovered fiber. The development of sustainable, health-conscious products has advanced further with this certification.
Additionally, the business has switched to Repreve FR, a recycled polyester with integrated flame-retardant technology. Since implementing Repreve FR a year ago, Diamond Mattress has contributed to keeping over 550,000 plastic bottles out of landfills and the ocean.
Pennington stated, “We take pride in using components that are essential to sustainability.” “This demonstrates Diamond’s unwavering commitment to responsible manufacturing and protecting vulnerable populations.”
