Eastman is strengthening its presence across the Western Hemisphere’s textile and apparel supply chain with the first participation of its Naia™ from Eastman brand at the Apparel Sourcing Show Guatemala, taking place from August 18 to 20.

The company will exhibit at Booth 50, where it will present its U.S.-produced Naia™ staple fibers and filament yarns for casualwear and activewear. The participation reflects Eastman’s efforts to engage more closely with regional manufacturers, brands and sourcing teams as the apparel industry continues to explore diversified, responsive and nearshoring-oriented supply networks.

Produced in the United States, Naia™ provides manufacturers and brands in the Western Hemisphere with a cellulosic fiber option that can support closer collaboration across the regional textile and apparel value chain. Eastman’s presence at the Guatemala event is expected to create opportunities for direct industry dialogue and the development of new fabric and apparel applications.

Naia™ On The Move Highlights Activewear Potential

A key focus at Eastman’s booth will be Naia™ On The Move, an application developed for active and everyday wear using Naia™ Renew staple fiber. The fiber is made with 40% GRS-certified recycled materials* and 60% sustainably sourced wood pulp.

The application demonstrates how Naia™ fiber blends can combine next-to-skin comfort, breathability and a soft hand feel with moisture management and quick-drying performance. These attributes are designed to address the requirements of consumers seeking apparel that can adapt to changing temperatures, humidity and active daily routines.

By highlighting Naia™ On The Move, Eastman aims to demonstrate the versatility of its fibers for urban lifestyles and apparel categories where comfort, freshness and performance are increasingly important.

Building Connections Across the Western Hemisphere

Chad Doub, Global Segment Market Manager, Casual Wear and Home at Eastman, said the Western Hemisphere is becoming an increasingly important part of the sourcing landscape.

“The western hemisphere is becoming an increasingly important part of the sourcing conversation,” said Chad Doub, Global Segment Market Manager, Casual Wear and Home at Eastman. “Our participation in Guatemala gives us the opportunity to build new relationships and explore how Naia™ staple fibers and filament yarns can support innovative fabric developments for casualwear and activewear. We believe Naia™ On The Move, our application designed for this segment, is particularly well suited to the needs of the region and of the brands sourcing here, where versatility, comfort and performance are increasingly important.”

Supporting Regional Nearshoring and Supply Chain Development

The Apparel Sourcing Show Guatemala brings together companies from across the textile and apparel ecosystem, including textile suppliers, machinery and accessory providers, service companies and manufacturers.

Eastman’s participation also builds on its engagement with the Americas Apparel Producers’ Network. Following the 2026 pro Annual Conference held in May, the Guatemala exhibition represents another step in Eastman’s efforts to connect with companies working toward more integrated textile and apparel supply chains across the region.

Through its presence at the show, Eastman is positioning Naia™ from Eastman as a potential fiber and yarn solution for manufacturers and brands seeking performance, comfort and more regionally connected sourcing opportunities in casualwear and activewear.

GRS-certified recycled materials refers to recycled content certified according to the Global Recycled Standard.
