Eurofins Assurance India Earns GOTS and Textile Exchange Accreditation to Boost Sustainability in Textiles

The Eurofins Assurance global network proudly announces that its India office has been granted Certification Body status by IOAS for the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Textile Exchange certification programmes. This significant accreditation underlines Eurofins Assurance’s growing influence in sustainable textiles, offering businesses more robust tools to enhance transparency, traceability, and community empowerment across the textile value chain.

Following a thorough assessment and review, IOAS has granted approval to multiple Eurofins Assurance offices worldwide to operate under the GOTS and Textile Exchange schemes. Among them, the India office stands out with its Certification Body status, which formally recognizes the organization’s commitment to quality and integrity in certification processes.

Eurofins Assurance will now deliver the following certification standards across Asia and Europe, with strategic plans to expand their global reach:

  • Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

  • Textile Exchange

  • Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

  • Organic Content Standard (OCS)

  • Recycled Claim Standard (RCS)

  • Content Claim Standard (CCS)

GOTS and Textile Exchange Certification: Enabling Smarter, More Responsible Supply Chains
Adopting GOTS and Textile Exchange certification offers direct benefits for buyers and suppliers alike. These globally recognized certifications provide clear traceability of raw materials, allowing for improved risk management throughout the chain of custody.

The certificates enhance brand credibility and visibility, presenting an added layer of consumer trust. In an era where stakeholders demand verifiable product claims, such independent certifications play a crucial role, especially in light of increasing regulatory expectations. “These certificates present extra level of trust to the consumers, building stronger brand recognition and identity among competition,” states Eurofins Assurance.

Introducing Impact Trace – A Smarter Certification Journey
To simplify the certification experience, Eurofins is developing Impact Trace—a digital platform that centralizes the entire certification lifecycle. From audit scheduling to document uploads, real-time certification tracking, report access, and Transaction Certificate generation, the platform ensures maximum efficiency and ease.

“From audit booking, to submitting documents, viewing the certification progresses, getting audit reports and obtaining Transaction Certificates, all activities are completed easily in one single platform,” the company explains.

Why Partner with Eurofins Assurance?
Having successfully passed the IOAS evaluation, Eurofins Assurance is now fully accredited to act as a Certification Body for GOTS and Textile Exchange standards. The organization boasts a strong network of trained auditors across key manufacturing hubs and extensive experience in third-party audits and verification services. “We promptly work with buyers and suppliers in setting up their certification programmes,” the company noted, emphasizing its readiness to support brands and manufacturers in scaling sustainable practices.

With this accreditation, Eurofins Assurance strengthens its role as a key enabler for sustainable transformation in the global textile industry—helping stakeholders meet environmental commitments, manage supply chain integrity, and foster global best practices.
