New Names, Same High-Performance, Sustainable Technology
eVent® Fabrics, a global leader in waterproof and windproof fabric laminates, continues its brand evolution by renaming its plant-based, ePTFE-free laminates. Previously known as BIO Waterproof and BIO Windproof, these innovative materials will now be called stormST and windstormST, launching with the Spring/Summer 2026 product season.
This rebranding aligns with eVent’s commitment to sustainability and high-performance solutions across industries such as outdoor, activewear, fashion, cycling, hunting, and footwear. The change also strengthens the company’s newly introduced tagline: “Defy the Elements.”
“When we launched eVent BIO, we were ahead of the curve. But with ‘bio’ now widely used across consumer marketing, we felt a stronger, more performance-driven name was needed,” said Chad Kelly, President of eVent Fabrics. “stormST and windstormST better reflect the protective power of these laminates and reinforce our focus on sustainable innovation.”

Transition Timeline & Industry Debut
Beginning February 2025, eVent will phase out the BIO branding and transition all partner materials to stormST and windstormST. Existing BIO products will remain available through mid-2026 to accommodate selling cycles.
