FESPA has expanded its global association network with the addition of ASOINGRAF (Asociación de la Industria Gráfica Costarricense) as a new Association Member, strengthening its presence in Central America. The membership was officially approved during the 2025 FESPA General Assembly, attended by Marco Vinicio Vargas Chevez, President of ASOINGRAF.

Established in 1987, ASOINGRAF represents companies and professionals within Costa Rica’s graphic arts and printing industry. The association is best known for organising Expográfica, the country’s leading trade show for the printing and graphics sector. In addition, ASOINGRAF delivers training programmes, industry seminars and awards initiatives, with a strong focus on promoting sustainable practices across print and graphic arts businesses.

Through this membership, ASOINGRAF becomes part of FESPA’s global network of national printing and graphics associations, enabling enhanced knowledge exchange and collaboration. The partnership aims to support the sharing of technical expertise, market insights and best practices across Costa Rica and the wider Central American region.

The collaboration will also encourage the adoption of internationally recognised standards in key areas such as process efficiency, colour management, production workflows and environmental performance—closely aligned with FESPA’s existing knowledge-sharing and sustainability platforms.

Commenting on the development, Daniel Sunderland, President of FESPA and Vice President of Canagraf, highlighted the importance of the new membership in strengthening FESPA’s regional representation and supporting innovation within the Central American print community.

As a FESPA Association Member, ASOINGRAF will actively participate in FESPA events, working groups and sustainability initiatives, contributing regional insights and supporting the broader international printing and graphics community.
